Worth a visit.

Shere Hills stands out for its dramatic rock formations, sweeping views of the Jos Plateau, and peaceful natural surroundings. It’s a beautiful spot for hiking, rock climbing, photography, and enjoying a refreshing escape from the city.

Before you go

Go early to enjoy cooler temperatures and leave enough time to return before dark. Wear sturdy shoes with good grip—the terrain is rocky and uneven. Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and a hat. Go with a local guide, especially if it’s your first visit or you plan to climb. Avoid climbing during rain because wet rocks can be slippery. Confirm access, any fees, and local security conditions with the training centre or a trusted local guide before setting out. Keep the hills clean: take your rubbish home.
